Denis Kamioka aka Cisma

denis kamiokauneexpo : Denis, you are a famous motion designer. Could you speak more about you?
Denis Kamioka : I'm Denis Kamioka aka Cisma, i'm brazilian , 31 years old.

uneexpo: What does CISMA mean?
D.K : Cisma means strong and irrational conviction in portuguese, also means rupture.

uneexpo : Could you explain your different movies? What did you want to show in those movies?
D.K :  Handmade is my first short film in live action, tells a story of a relationship between a guy and a girl. I've tried to tell a story in a surrealistic way, exploring the language on the limit of understandable. It's not completely clear but it's not so distant that no one could understand. I thought that using metaphors i could talk about love in a different way.

Le sens propre is a short film commissioned by Adobe, it tells a story about a little girl that is sick after eating so many candies. It's actually a natural progression of Handmade . An exploration of the same language.

uneexpo : Are you influenced by Art? What are the effects of Art on your work? About Photography?
D.K : I'm totally influenced by art, it's difficult to not be, art is vanguard for anything in our lives. I love photography Lilica Ripilica for example is totally influenced by Tim Walker's photos.

uneexpo  : You have worked for studio Lobo during 4 years, then you moved to Italy, to work at the creative department of the clothing brand Diesel. And you live today in Sao Paulo. Do you have to adapt each time to these so different countries in order to realise yout movies?

D.K : I've lived in Italy, Barcelona and São Paulo and I think every country influenced not only my work but my life in a way.  Traveling and living abroad is like living twice, having a different perspective about everything. All this experience changed my work and open my mind a lot.
